That’s why we offer a 10-Day Play Test Guarantee on selected in-stock models, allowing you to try your guitar at home, in the studio, or in your own playing environment.
If the guitar is not the right fit for you, you may return it within 10 calendar days of delivery, provided it is returned complete, undamaged, and in its original condition.
This Play Test Guarantee is an additional service provided by Alutone and does not affect any statutory consumer rights that may apply.
Return Conditions
The 10-day trial period starts on the day the guitar is delivered to the purchaser.
A return request must be submitted by email within 10 calendar days of delivery.
Your return request must include:
* Full name
* Order number
* Telephone number
* Reason for the return
After receiving your request, Alutone will contact you to discuss the return.
Once approved, Alutone will:
* Confirm the return in writing.
* Issue a unique Return Authorization (RA) Number.
Please note: Returns may only be shipped after an RA number has been issued. Returns sent without prior approval or without a valid RA number cannot be processed.
The guitar must be returned:
* Complete and undamaged
* Without modifications or alterations
* Including the original case
* Certificate of authenticity
* All accessories
* Documentation
* Protective packing materials
* Original packaging
The guitar must be packed in its original packaging and with the same level of care as used by Alutone.
The return shipment must be:
* Fully traceable
* Adequately insured
The customer remains responsible for proper packaging and safe transportation until the guitar has been received by Alutone.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is the result of an error by Alutone or documented transport damage upon delivery.
Packaging & Shipping Photos
To document the condition of every instrument, Alutone photographs the following before shipment:
* Guitar
* Case
* Accessories
* Packaging
* Packing method
When returning a guitar, we kindly ask you to take clear photographs showing:
* The guitar
* The case and accessories
* How the guitar is positioned inside the case
* The protective packing materials
* The original packaging
* The sealed shipping carton before it is handed to the carrier
These photographs may be requested if there is any uncertainty regarding:
* Packaging quality
* Transport damage
* Damage to the guitar
* The condition in which the instrument was returned
If the guitar has not been packed with the same level of care as the original shipment, or if no supporting photographs are available, this may be taken into account when assessing any damage or loss in value.
Inspection After Return
Upon receipt, Alutone will carefully inspect the returned guitar.
If the guitar is received:
* Complete
* Undamaged
* Properly packaged
* In its original condition
the purchase price will be refunded within 5 business days.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Damage or Changes in Condition
If the guitar becomes damaged during the trial period or is returned in a condition other than its original state, Alutone will work with the customer to find a fair and reasonable solution.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
* Repair by Alutone
* Deduction of repair costs
* A reasonable depreciation charge
* A partial refund
* The customer retaining the guitar
Any assessment of damage will be carried out carefully and transparently, supported where appropriate by:
* Photographs
* An explanation of the findings
* A repair estimate or depreciation proposal
Exclusions
The 10-Day Play Test Guarantee applies only to selected in-stock models.
Custom-built guitars, made-to-order instruments, personalised models, special-order builds, and guitars modified to the customer’s specifications are not automatically covered by this guarantee unless expressly confirmed by Alutone in writing before purchase.
